Actors, Actresses, and Performers TTM Tips and Tricks!

I started collecting TTM in 1991, so wanted to share a bit of the knowledge (mostly learned through trial and error!) from over the years!

Typically the best way to get in touch with an actor or performer is through their agent, typically the agents and their team will FEDEX their clients' mail to them weekly or even more frequently. You can typically Google the performer's name and agent's name, and find the agency address online as well. Your envelope would look like this:

Mr./Ms. Performer
Attn: Agent's Name
C/O Agency Name
Agency Street Address
City, State ZIP Code

Another great way to get in touch with an actor is via venue. Theaters are easiest, so if you have a favorite entertainer who is acting a play or doing a long term performance residency in Vegas, Branson, etc. then you have a great shot at them receiving and reading your letter. They are spending a lot of time at the respective theaters for rehearsals, etc. so via theater is a great way to go!

In person autographs are usually very available at venues as well. The crowds around stage doors are MUCH smaller than at a public event, movie premiere, etc. So if you want to try in person, theaters are great places to try!

Concert venues are also good to try, through you will need to mail at least a week in advance of the performance, as you usually only have a 1 or 2 day window of the performer being there.

Movie sets are harder since there are often not addresses for the sets! If you luck out and can find a set address, like if your favorite show is shot at a particular studio, give that a try! Shows take a lot longer to shoot usually than movies, so you have a bigger window of opportunity there as well!

Cheers!

Kevin
